Katie Green is a classically trained violinist - turned fiddle player who loves celtic, bluegrass, folk and everything in between. She intersperses her fiddle with vocals, guitar, and sometimes even the mandolin! She has played in several bands, and has worked with Vancouver artists Luke Wallace, Noah Derksen and Travis James, contributing violin and vocals to their recordings and performances. She is extremely interested in the role of music in health and illness, which prompted the founding of the Marigold Sessions, a project aimed at bringing music to people living in hospitals and hospices. What she loves most about music is the joy is brings to her and those around her regardless of the circumstances.
